Porcellionides pruinosus a new species of Woodlouse for me!

Porcellionides pruinosus beneath flaked sycamore bark

Its been a while since I've found a new woodlouse species, in fact it must have been years. Platyarthrus hoffmannseggii has long been on my most wanted list and the species I have spent most time looking for, although it was another unexpected species that caught my eye today. These juvenile Porcellionides pruinosus were found beneath bark on a Sycamore growing directly adjacent to a large muck heap on the Wykeham Estate. This species is closely associated with dung and manure piles in agricultural areas, and is relatively common although rarely recorded without sifting through muck. This will be my next task as I look for some adults, with Martins farm likely a good starting point.
